How can an   approach   be developed that promotes the understanding of quantum sensors within   companies   and identifies marketable application opportunities for   quantum   innovations?

FROM INSIGHT TO IMPACT
Quantum sensors offer a wide range of opportunities, yet many companies still lack the know-how to apply them effectively. This workshop provides in-depth insights into the technology and empowers businesses to strategically leverage its potential.

It delivers tailored, future-oriented product ideas, clarifies the potential of quantum sensors, and offers a structured approach to identifying strategic applications and initiating first implementation steps.

ONE-DAY WORKSHOP –
ACCESSIBLE WITHOUT PRIOR KNOWLEDGE, POWERED BY INTEGRATED QUANTUM INSIGHTS.

  THE KIT

All materials for the Vision Sprint are included in the workshop kit – including Trend Cards (basic and industry-specific), Q-Cards explaining sensor functions, and Q-Application Cards showcasing potential use cases for quantum sensing.

  VISION PLAYBOOK

The Playbook is included in the kit and contains all the necessary information for preparing, conducting, and following up on the Vision Sprint. A QR code in the Vision Playbook also provides digital access to templates and presentation materials.

  TREND CARDS

At the beginning of the workshop, trend card sets are used, available in both a basic and an industry-specific version. The cards are divided into Signal, Trend, and Megatrend categories and are updated annually. They cover the areas of society, economy, ecology, politics, and quantum sensing – enabling companies to identify trends relevant to their future.
    Q - CARDS

The Q-Cards are a card set that provides a structured overview of ten quantum sensors and their potential future developments. Each sensor is described based on various characteristics. This clear classification of quantum sensors by function and type is unique to date and helps users systematically understand and evaluate technological potential.

  Q - APPLICATION

The Q-Application Cards complement the Q-Cards by showcasing concrete application possibilities. They are designed to help participants more easily develop and visualize innovative use cases for their visions.

  VISION EXAMPLES

“ WHAT IF NON-INVASIVE DIAGNOSTICS BECAME THE STANDARD? ”

For the initial evaluation, we conducted the workshop internally at Faulhaber, a medical technology company. The innovative product ideas focused on women’s health. The evaluation demonstrated that Faulhaber gained a clear understanding of the potential of quantum sensors and developed new approaches for future innovation strategies.

  FINAL

Together with Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG, we conducted a one-day Vision Sprint at the Fraunhofer IAO in Stuttgart. Designers, innovation managers, and sensor engineers received a structured introduction to design futuring and quantum sensors. The participants found the workshop engaging and were inspired by the future scenarios. A key insight was that involving a quantum physicist more closely could provide additional value.
